Osmington Mills Zinc Roof

Zinc Solutions

Suitable for roofing, cladding and rainwater systems

Sustainable | 100 year roofing service life | Lightweight and durable | Choice of colours and finishes

Zinc is one of the most sustainable materials in construction today and as well as large commercial sites, zinc is growing increasingly popular for smaller projects such as private houses and renovations.

Zinc is often chosen due to its high durability and resistance to corrosion offering a service life of 100 years for roofing and 50+ years for gutters. Aside from being aesthetically pleasing, zinc works well with other materials and its versatility means it can be manipulated in to trays, pre-curved or easily made into complex shapes and installed on a wide range of pitches.

Zinc is available in a variety of finishes such as natural, quartz also known as ‘pre-weathered’, anthra and azengar. Or if you’d like something different to the traditional zinc grey, we can also offer a range of Pigmento colours.

Copper Solutions

Suitable for roofing, cladding and rainwater systems

Durable | Environmentally Friendly | Choice of finish

Commonly seen on particularly striking or heritage architecture, copper is often chosen not only for its impressive visual appearance but because it is very malleable making it easier to create irregular shapes such as domes or spires.

Copper is robust, corrosion resistant and has been used for roofing and cladding dating back centuries. We can provide copper in a mill finish, giving a classic copper bronzed look or as pre-patinated providing the oxidized grand heritage feel instantly.

A copper roof can last over 100 years and although is the more expensive choice at installation, with the natural layer of protection as it oxidizes and very minimal maintenance, a copper roof can be a cost-effective choice in the long term.

Stainless Steel Solutions

Suitable for roofing and cladding

Environmentally Friendly | Resistant | Choice of finish

Stainless steel is becoming a popular choice for religious buildings due to its ability to mimic lead when weathered, however, its strength when installed fair outweighs lead.

Stainless steel has a passive layer that makes it corrosion-resistant even in severe environments, as well as excellent resistance to thermal shock. The installation uses the same standing seam system as zinc and copper as well as the traditional batten roll and is often chosen because of its compatibility with the majority of other materials.

A sustainable material that is recyclable and recycled, stainless steel is available in a terne-coated finish that will weather over time, or a matt finish which sees the material pre-weathered giving the lead look instantly.
